General Tao’s Chicken Poutine


  • 225 g chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 200 g cheese curds
  • 400 g frozen French fries
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 250 ml Saigon Gourmet Sweet-and-Sour Sauce (or Extra Spicy Sweet-and-Sour Sauce for a spicier flavour)

  1. Cook the fries according to package directions.
  2. Combine the flour and chicken strips.
  3. Heat the oil in the frying pan over high heat and add the chicken.
  4. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes or until golden. Set aside.
  5. Heat the Sweet-and-Sour Sauce in a saucepan.
  6. Place the fries in a serving bowl.
  7. Add the cheese curds and chicken strips.
  8. Top with the sauce and garnish with green onions. Add salt and pepper to taste.
